Ezy Barcode Reader is part of LongBridge’s Ezy Imaging Suite of products, which is an Enterprise-class barcode recognition solution that allows you to perform capture, manipulation, decoding and storage processing tasks for barcode document integration needs with Oracle Forms, Oracle Apex, Oracle ADF, JSP, OAF, .Net, PHP, Formspider, Ruby and other web-based applications.

It is a unique Oracle Forms Java Bean solution in the marketplace currently that has comprehensive features that handle the capture and loading of barcode documents to detect and read most of the common 1D and 2D barcodes.

To capture barcode documents, it allows you to invoke any TWAIN compatible scanners, webcams, digital cameras, mobile phones, other devices that act as a scanner, WIA devices and existing barcode document repositories (from local and shared network folders), which is connected to the client machine to capture and manipulate single or multiple pages of barcodes.

It supports various document repositories such as local folders, shared network folders, web/application server URL folders, FTP server folders and database servers containing the barcode document BLOB column from where barcode documents can be loaded from and saved into.

Barcode documents can be saved in BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG or TIF format, based on the range of pages specified into the supported file formats, for storage within the appropriate document repository.

  • Completely flexible real-time configuration of Toolbar and User Interface (UI) to show/hide controls that suit your current application needs, with the possibility of allowing more functions to be exposed as your application is enhanced for the future.
  • Decoding by page or entire document of 1D barcodes such as Code 128, Code 39, EAN 8, EAN 13, Code 93, UPC-A, UPC-E, ITF, Codabar, RSS 14 & RSS Expanded, and 2D barcodes such as QR Code, PDF 417, Data Matrix, Aztec & Maxi Code.
  • Smart “Save Document Preferences” to set your preferred file format when saving a single page or multi-pages document.
  • Transform, Edit and Merge any barcode document to save into preferred image format and repository location.
  • Programmatically setting the last selected device in order to save time prior to the barcode document capture process.
  • Set device settings programmatically within your application and hiding Java-side UI screen controls.
  • Add additional page(s) to current barcode document before or after any existing page either from device or from existing barcode document.
  • Auto-Crop on Acquire” feature that will crop ONLY section of the page related to actual image during capture process and generate a very clear image with ‘Auto Contrast’ applied internally.
  • Smart “Crop on Mouse Released” feature during image cropping to save time by reducing one extra keystroke for this process.
  • “Restore Original Image” feature to manipulate and save changes into another document and restoring the original image page to resume with other image processing activities.
  • Image Manipulation features, such as cropping, convert to grayscale, resize, rotate, blur filters, and adjust contrast and color levels to edit the barcode image to successfully decode it.
  • Generate barcode search results as HTML, Database Table, Text and CSV output.
  • Smart scrolling of HTML Page Search Results to bring it in view upon navigating to specific page within the Image Viewer.
  • Extensive Diagnostics Report, which is very useful for troubleshooting purposes.
